I've met tons of athletes before, like russell martin, jeff kent, andre ethier, james loney, nomar garciaparra, jordan farmar, clayton kershaw, tony gonzalez, luke walton, steve garvey, tommy lasorda, and much much more.

  1. I met Hunter Pence last year, who happens to be my favorite player!

    Although they aren't baseball players, when I was young I met Troy Aikman, Dion Sanders and a few other Cowboys at one of their ST camps.


  2. I have a relationship with no actual player but ive met plenty.

    And i also have shaken Albert Pujols's wifes hand and talked to his son before at one of my high school games.

  3. Let me just say that you're really lucky.  I'd love to meet Russell Martin, he's my favorite on the Dodgers.

    I've met Manny Mota, Nomar, Eric Gagne, Garrett Anderson and Jon Garland.

  4. Used to have a baseball card store in California and had the opportunity to meet several baseball players. Played softball on Nate Colberts softball team. Coached Garry Templeton's sons baseball team, Marvell Wynne used to be a drinking buddy of mine, I was out with Bobby Tolan the night he got his dui and he ended up moving to Texas to help Enos Cabell out at the auto lot he owned, Randy Jones used to get major league baseballs for me from the Padres, I think I could write a book.

  5. Back in the times that County Stadium was still around in Milwaukee, I met Kyle Peterson's wife.  She gave me and my cousins cookies..haha.

    Also, I met Craig Counsell at some Winter Forum thing a few years back.

    I've also gotten autographs where you kind of meet the players, but it's more like you just saying "thanks for the autograph".

  7. I been to a bunch of Kinston Indian games, so Ive meet alot of the good players that have came through the Indians farm system. Bartolo Colon, Jaret Wright, Sean Casey, Russel Branyan, C.C Sabathia, Victor Martinez, any many others!

  8. I don't think paying to get an autograph at a card show counts as "meeting" a player.

    I work in the entertainment industry so I've been able to meet tons of players - I've even got to shag balls for the Mariners and A's during spring trainings. The Ms gave me a jersey and hat, so when I came off the field, all the little kids thought I was a Mariners player and were asking for my autograph. I tried explaining I was not on the team but they wouldn't believe me, so there are now all kinds of baseballs out there with the Mariners team and me on it.

Henry Aaron, Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Gilbert Arenas, LeBron James, Willie Mays, Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, Pudge Rodriguez, Roger Craig (both baseball & football) Jerry Rice, Ray Lewis, Eric Chavez, Vince Carter, Barry Bonds, Barry Sanders, Ray Durham, John Taylor, Vida Blue, Orlando Cepeda, Willie McCovey, Bobby Bonds, Paul Pierce and Steve Young.

    They were either visitors to EA Sports where I work, met at MLB/NBA All Star Game festivities, "Madden" events, AS Game afterparties, videogame promotion events, inside the locker rooms at Candlestick Park, AT&T Park and Network Associates Coliseum.

When i was 5 years old and i was at a giants game barry bonds walked by, there were so many people there that he couldnt hear me, so a lady id never met before held me up and said "ask barry for an autograph". So i did he looked at me for a second then walked away. I know he heard me. But its barry bonds what do you expect?

  13. My most recent was in Milwaukee. I bought a 2009 Toyota and Ryan Braun was there for 1 hour signing for anyone who purchased a new car. I was the last one and was able to talk to him for about 20 minutes. I can't tell you what that was like...he's meant so much to the Brewers and the fans. It was surreal.

  15. I know tons of athletes. My son and daughter are both athletes. I used to be athletic myself, as was my wife. My brother was the best athlete in our neighborhood.

    Never met any professional athletes though

  16. I did.  I was a Dodger fan (sounds like you are still) until I got to be ball boy for the Red Sox.  It was during a game between the Sox and the Twins (1984) and I got to meet all the players from both teams.  I was 10 then and it left a very large impression on me.

  17. When Bobby Valentine managed the Mets in 2000, at an event that my company attended, I met him, Mike Piazza, Todd Ziele, and Robin Ventura.

  18. A year ago after the fourth of the July my family and I met Oriel Herishiser. I got an autograph from him and we talked for five minutes. It was something I will never forget.

  20. i have met the entire indians team almost every year. the cleveland browns including brady quinn. the steelers and luckily the ohio state buckeyes(troy smith!!!) and their basketball team..oh yeah and the cleveland cavaliers..with lebron james.

  21. i met nick swisher at a fan fest a couple years back. he was a really nice guy. he even took a picture with me.
