Hey Doug ... you shouldn't read yourself into this question. This is pointed at someone who has been actively torturing me for a while now. Keep your chin up ... and maybe you should find someone to talk to ... I think you need someone to talk to.

  1. Is rationalisation poisonous?  Then you must be very impressionable.  Otherwise,  rationalisation doesn't poison...it can only irritate...not let you enjoy your irrationalities which are so very necessary for lightening up!

I find people who rationalise everything, oppressive.  They have no fun and won't let others have fun too.  Being rational is not bad.  In fact it is desirable...but not everything and not everywhere...especially not while watching a senselessly delightful Hindi Movie!

  2. I have met people who will take things too seriously and they will spread it to me...and they take it to the extreme!

Now I don't believe in any type of extreme, but I can't stand it when some one tells me to take something more seriously...

Now if its something like a surgery, then h**l yes, I will take it seriously, but they will make something trivial completely serious.

As if I choose the regular coke, I am going to die.

You cannot be serious about that. when they try to do that, it seems even more crazy than they think.

I say we just let things be, and see how they go...taking it to the extreme is never good..

  3. Yes, myself.  I refuse to bring someone into my existence for fear of degrading their life in anyway.

I'm not a people person as feelings are scarce and rationalization is abundant.

  4. No.  I am sufficiently grounded in my own ethics, integrity and character that it would take the Massiah to change my point of view.

Of course, I am now approaching my 67th birthday.
