Have you ever noticed on Tv commercials when they have babies in car seats they're usually faced forward

I wonder why that is? I just watched 2 commercials back to back and the children where small and faced front in the backseat...I know some parents do this and that's fine with me, but if they want all of us to be more safe then why show it on Tv that way?

Its just for the angle of the shot...like when people on TV have a dinner party, they all sit around one side of the table.

Wow, I didn't realize this until you mentioned it! Crazy. I suppose it's easier to shoot the baby from that angle but it isn't exactly the picture of safety, is it?

After a year, you can turn them around to face forward.  I'm sure this was the case.

yeah, and some tv shows too. you would think they would do it the right way. but my SIL has had my niece forward facing since about 8-9 months EEK!

I have noticed this too. I know its for the angle of the shot but it is said TV is one of peoples biggest influences. So you would think that to get out the message that it is safest to face babies towards the rear of the car they would do things proper.
