Have you ever noticed that celebrities walk with their heads down a lot?

well, if I had someone looking in my face everytime I stepped out the house, I may look down a lot as well.  I know they probably get very annoyed a while.  Sometimes they may just not be in the mood for media.  They are still human, and have down days and issues as well as anyone else.

They know that if they walk with their heads down it ruins the photographs that the stalkarazzi are taking.

they do that because they don't want the papparazi to take their picture, that's why they usually cover their face with their hand too.

I honestly think celebraties feel akward walking around in public.

Like they aren't really a part of the real world...I don't know that's just what I think.

They are trying not to get their pictures taken

Usually in a red carpet event, they have an X spot where they need to stand on, so that could be that they are trying to stay on it.

Also, with all the photog's and people screeaming, they can't hear anything so looking down is more of trying to concentrate at a question or comment.  Who knows?  Makes a little sense to me.

They do that so the paparazzi wont take there picture plus they don't want to answer questions about them being in the tabloids.

That's because of the paparazzi. Isn't that pretty obvious? Would you stick your face right into a big, flashing camera? I don't think so.
