  1. In New Zealand we have a "Street Race" series that has been running for mega years.[motorcycles] We have one circuit which is called the "Cemetry Circuit" and its just wicked.

Its in the north island of N.Z. and you actually race around a cemetry. In my first attempt to race there i had to say getting ya head around racing around a cemetry was not the easiest thing to be able to do, but once i was focused it never entered my thoughts.

Then we have the "Hacksaw Circuit" which at this time of writing is on Feb 14 2008.

Its just fantastic .The local police do the warm up laps and it gives us all so much pleasure to pull up along side them and pull a wheelie for the crowd

The racing is fast and furious and the crowds are only metres away from this wonderful brain re-arranging  racing.

Anybody wanting to see m/cycle racing in its purest form and witness real street racing should be in N.Z. from xmas to februaury, every year , and if you are a racer , get down here, we wanna say hello to ya !

  2. from 4 years of age to 16 years of age we had street race regularly and now i am 69+

  3. No.I have to agree with wiggysan, here in NI the fatality rate for motorcyclists in 07 was almost twice as many as 06.

  4. Street Racing is POINTLESS. Yea, the adrenaline rush feels good, but you gotta learn how to be responsible. The world does not revolve around 1 person, and you gotta think about the other people when you take actions like that.

If your in a car/motorcycle, please be more responsible, and think about other people you'll be hurting if something happened.

  5. Unless its a closed road race event, street racing is for fools.

Even when you get a proper racing event held the road, there is normally a few major accidents and sometimes alot worse.

Just look at the I.O.M as an example, or even shorter tracks like the N.W 200 or Oliver's Mount in Scarbough.

Great circuits, but even with marshalls and hay bails they are still road circuits.

If you want to go fast, do a trackday!
