I have preordered an item from Amazon.

When you preordered an item did it come on the day it was released?

If not, when did it come? How many days after it was released?

Are preordered items meant to arrive on the day the product is released?

The book I have ordered has an American release date two days earlier than the British one, will this improve my chances of getting it on the day?

  1. Yes i have pre-ordered from Amazon and i find their delivery to be good

  2. I have preordered from Play.com and the item arrived two days before the release date I assume Amazon would be the same.

The reason they are early is that they try to send items so that you receive them no later than the release date but usually they arrive early

  3. Yes I have pre-ordered. You'll only get it on the day of release if you've paid postage. If you've ticked the saver box, then it is postage free, but it'll come a couple of days later. You can go back into your account and change the delivery system if you're desperate to get it on the day it comes out.

  4. I ordered a Harry Potter book and it arrived on the day it was released - albeit it was available at midnight and I got it about 8 am.

So it should arrive on the day it is released in the UK - don't know about american releases - if it comes from the US then you have got to allow for delivery time.

Why don't you track your order on Amazon?
