  1. No, I haven't. I did have a deferrment or two with a very young child, but other than that, I didn't live in one place long enough!

  2. no

  3. Yeah, but I got out of it because I was in college.  I got it about a month after I turned 18 lol

  4. Called lots of times, but never got picked; until I got a murder trial that lasted almost 1/2 a year.  (My boss really loved that one)

  5. 2 times for county and once for federal!  Sheesh and some people NEVER get called!  I have never been seated on a panel because of my job, I have "prior knowledge" of cases being tried.

  6. no, that sux u do

  7. Twice...the first time we put a child molestor behind bars for fifty years.  Man, that felt good.

  8. yeah and it was boring...  got dismissed.  but we had to sit there for days before they decided that..

  9. the first time i got the summon, i was selected to sit in a case.

  10. im 16, never had to go to jury duty.

  11. Yes.  I sat on a jury for 2 weeks one time because a family was suing a doctor because the daughter died.  It was quite an experience.  I work for walmart so they paid me my full check while I was there so it was kind of like a vacation.  The Doctor was not guilty.  The family was just trying to make a buck off her death.

  12. Just go, it's not worth trying to get away, If you want to you should tell them that the place you have to go to, for jurry duty is too far, once you say that they might let you off the hook.

  13. No, I haven't not yet anyways

  14. not yet.... i'd really really love to though... i'm sure it must be thrilling to put someone in jail...

  15. Yep last year in January in Akron Ohio. Sat for two 1/2 days in the jury pool room and never got called onto a case.....was kind of bummed...would have liked to have been on a simple case.....

  16. Yes TWICE now! And I can't believe it! It was twice in 10 years time! As if the city where I live doesn't have MILLIONS of people????

Ah well, I went and served.  You must think- what if that were ME on trial- I sure would want someone there who took this duty seriously.  You have someone's life in your hands.

  17. No. Not yet. but will soon  Feb 18

  18. I got called once but was not chosen for the jury.

  19. no no no

  20. What do you mean pulled?

I got out of jury duty by saying I'm racist or I hate robber's or wife beater's or etc etc...

    and they release you.

  21. No, and I never want to.

  22. yeah....was boring,,,a trial about a house and cement contractor,,,,a murder trial,,now that would be interesting

  23. Yeah, twice.  Was interesting to watch the legal process.

  24. I was chosen to be part of one jury's first 'pool' but wasn't chosen, because I not only knew the defendant, but could give him an alibi for the crime he was accused of committing.  He wasn't a 'good guy' but had been the defendant in another case where I was the witness who got him sent to prison for 18 months ... and seeing him at the time and place I had would have made it impossible to commit the crime he had been accused of.
