  1. No. I think it would be boring after the first page!

  2. I took me about a month.  It was so boring, but i really felt like accomplished something few people bother to try :) good for me :)  I started reading it because someone told me gullible wasn't in there.   Don't waste your time checking it's not

  3. Well, not the whole thing. But I like reading it for fun sometimes. It's really surprising to see how many random words there are out there.

  4. Not the whole thing, but I have read the definitions of words I didnt know.

I have novels to read, not dictionaries. Thanks to the Widget on my Dashboard on my Mac, I really have no need for one, I can type a word and get the definition instantly.

  5. Yes, and I like almanacs too.

  6. Only when I need to.

can you pplz answer my question?

  7. NOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

    AGGHH!!!!!!!!!!!

    RUN AWAAAAYY!!!!!!!

DONT REMIND ME OF THAT GODFORSAKEN BOOK!!!!

  8. When I was younger I did. I had no books so i decided to read the dictionary! I only made it to E though. I think that only took a couple of days. It was back when I had no life haha

  9. I'll browse it occasionally, after I'm done looking up the word I was looking for, but I've never read it from cover to cover.

I don't see the point, to be honest. It's not a good way to build one's vocabulary because the big words really need to be seen in context over and over again before all the subtleties of their meanings sink in. I think that if you want to build up your vocabulary, reading more difficult books and keeping a dictionary handy is the way to go.

  10. Yup, it's fun to read it because it helps you improve and widen your knowledge, your grammar and communication skills. It helps you understand and communicate more efficiently to other people.

  11. Umm. No? Have you? It seems sooooooo boring. Me and my friend tried to find all the verbs in the dictionary but we only made it to like C. lol.

  12. I've never read the entire dictionary before, that would take waay too long!  But it's actually a pretty fun book to explore and learn new words. Sometimes, if I look a word up, I'll end up looking at one after another and reading all the definitions that go with it and then an hour and a half goes by and I'm still looking at words! Anyways, I don't think it's dumb at all. How could learning something as precious as words be anything less than perspicacious?!

  13. No, but, I did try to read an Encyclopedia set once. I started with "A" and it not take but about 10 pages before I realized; "This is not going to work". :-)

  14. Surprisingly I have and it was entertaining. I got a dictionary in class and didn't have anything to do, even read another book, so I read the dictionary until class was over. I also read one about 2 days ago to find words for an assignment.
