  1. No I haven't.

I thumb up if it's good, regardless of pronouns, personal opinion of the user, feminist/non-feminist, etc. If it's good, it's up. If it's bad, it's down. If it tries to make a good point but messes grammar up, I do nothing other than answer the question myself and make it clear to the asker what that answerer had to say, as well as make my views known.

  2. No. That's ridiculous.

  3. No, but I must admit I often associate the use of 'he' as a generic pronoun with a lack of education on the part of the writer.

  4. It annoys me when people do that, but not that much.

  5. No, and I think it's ridiculous that people get upset over pronouns.

  6. No, I can't say that I have.

In standard English usage as I was taught, that's supposed to be the pronoun you use in the singular if you're not referring to a specific individual (as in someone of unknown/unclear gender).  "They" is really a plural pronoun, so your only correct option would be "he/she" or something along those lines.  I can't blame someone for saving a few keystrokes and simply typing "he", as that's what most people have been taught to do in such a case.

  7. I might refrain from giving a thumbs up for people using a word like "womyn" in thier answer

  8. No, I am not a sexist.

If I like the answer(no matter who writes it) I will give it a thumbs up. I have even given Tracey a few thumbs up!

    :)

  9. I get thumbs down because I'm always right.

P.S. Mudkip is my favorite feminist.

She's always polite - you older broads can learn a thing or 2 from her.

Edit: You're welcome, Mudkip. I recognize the obnoxiousness of my answer and I don't expect you to choose it. No hard feelings. :)

  10. I would think that "he's" probably just a little insensitive to the politics surrounding pronouns and I would give "him" a thumbs down if the rest of "his" answer reflected that "he's" not educated on gender politics, but if "he" generally makes a good contribution with "his" answer, then I wouldn't give "him" a thumbs down just for that fact, especially since most people wouldn't even know why I gave "him" a thumbs down in the first place.

    Interesting question.
