Yes and no, I have saved a baby bird from the middle of a road (it couldn't fly it was hurt) but it hasn't saved me yet lol! Not really expecting it to either i must say...

yea i saved a baby robin a few years ago and it was all alone and i gave it worms and water..the whole works ya know! then it got stronger and flew off and i never saw it again...but then i was in my house as it was burning to the ground and the bird came back and saved me!

first dialed 911 then grabbed a hold of me and flew me to safety!

My sister saved a baby chicken from a dog.  Then she raised it-I never knew that a chicken could be so friendly and tame.  I guess you could say it saved her in a way because she had always been extremely shy and this chicken kind of broke her out of her shell-literally.  Once she had the chicken she became so much more self assured.
