I live in central Indiana, and saw one fly over today. It's the second time I've seen him so I think it roosts nearby. We are just farmland, but I'm so happy he's here!!

  4. I see them frequently, I have even had one inside my vehicle.  Of course, I volunteer at a Center for Birds of Prey and transport ill or injured birds from their finding location to the center.

I also see them in the wild on occasion-there are a couple of bald eagles that have a nest on an acquaintances property near here and we see them soaring overhead on occasion.

I most recently saw one Thursday on a visit to the aquarium.

    They are amazing creatures!

  5. Actually no.  Bald eagles which we have at the Toledo Zoo, actually are not BALD.  They have feathers on their head that are flat & white.

  6. Nice yeah I've seen a few.

  7. Here in the Puget Sound in Washington state, it is common to see bald eagles throughout the year.   Although they do eat fish, the bald eagles here will also prey on birds, such as ducks, gulls, herons, and even Canada Geese, and they are also one of the few predators of sea otter pups.

  8. There is a nest about 5 miles from my house. The pair fly over me several times a week that I see, probably more times than I know.

  14. Yes, we have a small breeding population in central and northern Arizona.  The areas where they breed are closed to fishing until the eggs hatch.  You might see several pairs on a good day.  On the other hand, on a one-day trip on Idaho's Salmon river, we saw more than 100.  Back in the early 1960s I remember how excited everyone was when a pair nested near Bar Harbor, Maine.  They've come a long way back.

  15. NO I have never seen one I live in Alabama  sounds exciting
