Believe it or not, there are many cats that seem to enjoy a little "swim" in the bathtub, or even enjoy the shower.

I had a Burmese kitten that would jump in the tub with me all the time. He loved the warm water. My friend has a cat that must accompany her in the shower. Go figure.

As another poster already mentioned, the Turkish Van is a breed whose purrsonality includes a love for water.  This cat possibly may be part Turkish Van, from the appearance of his tail.

My swimming cat is now at the Rainbow Bridge, but I one of my cats presently loves to sit on the edge of the bathtub while either my husband or I are bathing and dip his tail into the warm water.

Yes, my friends cat would barge into the shower with you... they had to lock it out.

and another had a siamese and it would jump off the boat to catch fish!

HaHa! My little kitten will play in water like that, but as soon as you put soap on him he is furious. He will even jump in while we are taking a shower to play! We have to keep constant watch over his water bowl because one day he was playing in it and didn't have any water for the day because he splashed it all out!!

I've personally never seen a cat that likes water that much! They say that the Turkish Van breed likes water but this little guy is not a Van. He sure is funny though! My cats like their fountain and may put in a paw but don't like swimming.

My Miss. Kitty HATES water. She will sit at the side of the bath tub to hang out with me when I am in the tub, but only because she trusts me I believe.

never seen taht before, my cats HATE water, any time the faucet turns on near the food bowl they run for their lives.
