  1. I saw some in a Seattle pet store; they have like a ruffle around them like a bed-skirt, which they ruffle in order to move backward and forward with equal ease.  Their aquarium had clear plastic tubes for them to hang out in, as their burrows, and they would come out or go backward and forward in the tubes, very weird and pretty.  When in the burrow, the head would always face the opening.

  2. Yes. I've seen very many while scuba diving.

I've also eaten many cooked ones.

  3. Yes, in London Aquarium. It was in a small tank and it was about the size of my palm. I stretched my hand out towards it to see if it would react, and it did something very interesting - it started changing its colour from darker to lighter and back, starting from its front and going to its back, like what the waves do with the sunlight on seabed. I know that they do this to mesmerise their prey. It was pretty cool to watch, I wish I had a camcorder with me at that time.

  4. Only on TV

  5. Yes while snorkeling in the Greek islands I saw several around rocks.  When they get annoyed they pulsate different colours at you.
