  1. no

  2. yes. it was terrible.

  3. I saw a couple forming, but not touching down.

I live in SW Alberta, where dry air makes tornadoes less likely.  A short drive north or east will find more tornadoes every summer.

  4. I've seen them and in one time (as a child) my mother and I left a store to find that we were in the middle of a horrible storm that brought about lots of tornados. I was about 2 years old, and yet I could paint you exactly what color the sky was because it was green. I've never seen the sky that green before! And last year my poor parents came up a hill and BAM tornado! LOL they had to high tail it out there. I'm a bit of freak and I get excited and want to chase tornados even tho I know its horribly unsafe. This was in Michigan by the way and now I live in San Diego, I miss thunderstorms desperatly.

  5. I was driving an 18 wheeler cross country about 13 years ago and we went through Amarillo Tx.  The skies turned dark and greenish/gray.  WEIRD color, it was SO eerie.  The clouds became bulbous, like cow udders and the wind suddenly came up and the rain pelted everything.  On the CB radio, we heard reports of golf-ball sized hail and funnel clouds touching down.  We were getting our tires changed at the time, so we were safe from hail.  When we were on our way, we went straight into "the zone".  It was SO dark at 3:30 int he afternoon that we had to use the headlights.  The wind was knocking us around and the sky was moving rapidly.  It was still gray/green and the humidity was SO intense and you could FEEL the charge in the air.  It's a feeling you cannot describe, something you just KNOW is scary and your adrenaline rushes.  Then suddenly you break through the clouds in to bright blue skies,  sunshine and nice weather.  It's the strangest thing I've ever experienced in my life.  I also drove through the edge of a hurricane where it rained super hard.  no wonder no one else was on the road.
