  1. Hahaha....

Yes but only with one of my dogs.

    I have 3 small dogs...

and one that will follow me everywhere.

    even into the bathroom.

so when i jump in the shower..she is there at the door crying,

so i open the door and she jumps right in and runs around.

but my other to HATE water so no with them.

    but Its quite fun actually!

    :D

  2. well  i was at my friends house t aking a bath. and they dont have a lock on the bathroom door,. so her golden retriever just welcomed himself inside and licked the water off of my face.

    lol it was cute.

but no i dont shower with my dogs. but my dogs shower together =] lol

  3. Well I don't purposely take a shower with my dog but she will sometimes come into the bathroom and hop into the shower with me! It is always hilarious because she tries to drink the falling water from the shower head and sneezes a lot when it gets in her nose, HILARIOUS! I never soap her up or anything though because I have a TINY tub so there would be no room for me to bend over and to really get her good.  would if I could though and I definitely wouldn't think that it is weird!

  4. Everyone to their own, I think. Its doing no harm to human and dog, also sounds like the dog is muched loved and well cared for, well done.

    Cheers and happy showering!! Jane

  5. EVERY SINGLE TIME!!

We have a shower that has a seat in the shower.  Pilot is a big golden retriever of 90lbs.  It is much easier for me to take him in the shower with me as he only has to "walk" in instead of climbing up and into a tub.  Plus bending over the tub to wash him is hard on my back.  So, therefore it is MUCH simpler to take him in the shower with me!

I wash him, hose him down, turn off the shower, dry him....open the shower door, and vwalahhh....he is done!  THEN, I close the shower door, and I shower!  After that, I dry off, put on clothes or my robe, and I dry him with our dryer.  It's easy and much simpler for me.

    What's wrong with that??!!!   :oD

    Absolutely nothing!  :o)

    :oP

  6. hey

I dont shower with a dog but i shower with me cat'Monty" i think that your hubby is right it does kill two birds with one stone and i find that my cat is alot easier to shower when he showers with me.

  7. I don't do it on purpose. But my youngest APBT (7 months) just loves water so much, that he jumps in almost everytime I get in the shower. So, while he's in there and already wet, I get his shampoo and "kill two birds with one stone".

    =]

PS- And since I always have to take a shower after I give any one of my dogs a bath, it's much easier for me this way. Gee, I'm glad I got such a weird pup =]

  8. I did.

When my dog was tiny he was so fearful, not properly socialized and while much better, we're still working on it now!  But I'd carry him into the shower with me and shampoo him up and let him sit in the back of the tub to splash in the bubbles while I took care of myself.

He smelled good, I smelled good, and we had a fun time bonding in the water.  It's not like he knew I was naked.  :P

  9. Yeah I know alot of people that do that, actually.

  10. Used to shower w my pug ALL the time it was WAY easier then bathig & then we both got clean at the same time...like your hubby said "kill 2 birds w one stone"....but now out shower is too small really so I wash  her in the kitchen sink

  11. No, because if I did, my whole body will be covered in scratch marks from my dog. She's too afraid of the water. After giving her a bath, my arms are red with her scratches.

  12. Ha! Yeah kill 2 birds with one stone, save water, shower with your dog lol!

  13. I don't but, like you my husband does. (It seems to be a reoccuring trend in these answers) I usually bath my dogs every 2-4 weeks depending on what they have gotten into but one of them is absolutely terrified of the water. She scratches my legs to no end and I usually end up bleeding. When I can I give her over to my husband who thinks that it is easier to shower with her. I figure that if it saves me the trouble then go ahead but like I said--you won't catch me doing it.

  14. No i havent done that. I think its weird too, but my friend does it and he thinks the same thing as your husband haha

  15. I have tried to (to kill 2 birds with 1 stone, haha) but my Dogs don't like the water in their eyes. Its fine, as long as you use dog shampoo and wash it out completely :)

I dry my Poms with a Hair dryer too, now thats weird isn't it? haha

    :)

  16. I did when she was a pup. Now shes to big. But now my kitten gets in the shower with me...she likes showers : )

  17. Yea, the apartment I live in, the bath broke, only the shower worked, and it took maintenance forever to get out to fix it and doggy needed to be clean so he took a shower w/ me.

  18. No but sometimes after giving them their baths , it looks like  I got one too!

I think it is funny, to each his own, if the dog enjoys it , it is not hurting anything!

    Cheers!!

  19. Yes, but my little weenie dog didn't care for it.  I always take hippy shampoo (environmentally friendly) camping with me.  When my lab/great dane mix plays in the lake, river, or stream he gets his bath.  Its the only way.

  20. My puppy tries to get in the shower with me but them backs up.  I have taken a bath with my dog before though, he gets scared.

  21. "It kills two birds with one stone." LOL that's great.

I've never showered with my dog, I've considered it, but haven't done so yet.

  22. well one time i went to shower and i had the pup in the bathroom(potty training on paper) and she invited herself right in so i decided to might as well lather her up too, otherwise there is no worse smell than a wet dog.

she was a cocker spaniel i guess they just can't pass up water when they see it.LOL

  23. Nothing, no matter how weird would surprise me about Pomlover.

  24. Yeah, it seems a little weird!  The dog wouldn't get the proper shampooing that way, and also not the proper dog shampoo, unless your hubby uses one for the dog and one for him!
