I have been skiing at Wilmot in Wisconsin.  It used to be a landfill -- so man made for sure.  These places are good to hone your skills and are good practice for real mountians.  The way I look at it is if you like to ski and a place like that is around use it -- no need to drive far distances each weekend....You can get a good lesson at these types of places as well.

Yeah I ski at  Wilmot as well, and i have to agree with the above statement... But its a far cry from a '' Mountain"...Though very convenient for me:)
