Not slapped in the face but I have been hit by one.  I used to work an early morning shift, 4am to 11am and I'd take off and return for a 4pm to 6pm run.  One day I was just too blamed tired to get up at my usual 3pm and I was just gonna ditch and I was sleeping hard.  I looked at the clock and it read 316PM and I closed my eyes to nod right back on off when all of a sudden I felt a hard hit on my hip that woke me up with a start and I'm looking around cause I'm like what the ?...... since I lived ALONE!!!  Apparently I needed to go to work that afternoon or I would have lost my job!!!  This contact was a GOOD thing and it's stuck in my memory all these years.
