  1. I don't smoke, so that would be a no.  But you could ask a nurse or a physician about it to be safe. :)


  2. Smoking constricts blood vessels and can slow down healing after a surgery.  For some types of elective surgery, such as knee replacement, there are cases where the insurer has refused to pay for the surgery until the patient has stopped smoking for a period of time.

  3. No (I don't smoke tobacco) but I wouldn't recommend it. It can seriously mess with the anesthetics used (see my source below).
