Did you learn the language fluently? Did you learn their culture and were you accepted into theirs? How hard was it for you to adjust?

  1. I am currently in Paris right now actually. I heard so many good things before I came and wanted to answer your question to give you the other side. At least here, Parisians rarely speak to you in French. Even if you try, they will respond in English a lot of the time. It reeks of smoke everywhere. There is a lot to see and it is a nice place for a trip, but personally do not recommend living there for an extended period. It isn't that easy to find your way around here either because unlike other big cities, like New York, streets don't line up, they are all crooked and hard to read the street signs.
