  1. i studied abroad for a summer for a leadership program...i think that counts.well anyway i studied in london, france, peru, argentina brazil, uganda, and a little bit in canada.it was such an experience...and i learned at least part of 4 new languages.i got a closer look as to what other peoples cultures are,how similar and different we are.how they learn compared to how we learn and it was just a great experience

  2. I studied in Mexico for a complete year.  It was the best experience I have had in all aspects of my life.  I not only learned another language and culture, but I learned a lot about myself and how to deal with situations when the arose.  You need to be able to solve problems and be flexible when you study abroad.  These skills that you learn will also help later on in life, because schools and employers will see that you can be put in a position of difficulty, and will most likely succeed.  In addition, it also shows that you are willing to try new things.

The skills, friends, and memories that I had in my year abroad are something that I could not have gotten anywhere else, and I am so glad I took the time to study abroad.  I always encourage others to do the same if they can!

  3. Yeah, last year I studied in Venice. It was, by far, the best experience ever! I leaned so much, and it's something I would recommend to anyone. =]

  4. Aboard what? A train?

  5. I was stationed in Germany for several years - loved it! I've been back many times since and traveled around other places in Europe.

Because of that experience, my husband and I have been hosting exchange students for the past 13 years!

It is an opportunity that should not be missed -- and the younger you can begin the adventure (high school) the better!
