Yes, and  people have a hard time with it. I have trust issues with people, am very self-conscious, and have a social anxiety disorder. I think people need to get help as soon as possible to keep them from going to extremes. See a doctor or talk to someone they trust.

Not to me, if you are in the situation be sure not to wait it out. Tell someone as soon as you can. I know it may be scary but it does get better when u say something.
