Oh is that so BotanyDave, I am an idiot for asking questions in order to gain knowledge about something I find interesting....ic. Well if you can somehow teach us all how you are able to absorb information through osmosis, personally I would be very thankful.

  1. No

  2. I have and if I could go back in time I WOULD NEVER EVER do it again.

My friends (and family, apart from my sister) think I'm a mental case.

I spent up to two weeks talking to several friend's who came to visit. The problem here is that unbeknown to me these people were simply not there, I was however convinced that they - you have no reason to question yourself, they are there you can see and hear them and that is that.

After two weeks I could tell things were getting back to normal again, people, things, walls pens stopped talking to me and I could walk down the street without getting freaked out. I make it sound really bad, it's just really unnerving as you don't know if someone is there or not, quite often i would completely ignore someone thinking they to were a hallucination. It really sank in when one friend appeared in my room in the middle of the night, (this is after a week of my initial trip) the worrying part was that my friend died three years ago!

It's really very scary and unnerving and I would never recommend it to anyone, not even my worst enemy.

died two years earlier (and other old friends who used to pop round at the strangest of times), obviously just serious hallicinations and so real it was utterly scary.

  3. I have taken seeds from a plant and planted them elsewhere.  I've kicked off the seed pods for biological specimens (they're spiny).

But- and this is the important part- I've never taken them internally, because I'm not an idiot.  It sounds like you might be an idiot, and I will be the first to nominate you for a Darwin Award if you are seriously considering partaking in such a suicidal act.

The plant is taboo in cultures across the world.  That alone should tell you something.

  4. Datura contains alkaloids that are very toxic! There are many very dangerous plants that would kill you if you were to use them!  No, I haven't taken it but I have read about  hospitalization and death of people who did take Datura!   I would not try it and urge anyone reading this not to try it!  I like being alive and able to "research" by reading rather than endanger my life and causing a great deal of grief to those who love me!  Pharmaceutical companies extract various chemicals from plants to develop drugs for treatment of diseases.  If you are interested in plants that produce chemicals that have pharmaceutical uses, go to college and major in botany and chemistry.

  5. I haven't ever taken it, though as of late I have been reading a great deal about it.  There are some cultures that use it in very controlled doses for Vision Quests.

In larger doses it can be lethal.  You definitely don't qualify for a Darwin Award.  Intelligent people ask questions.  When I was a teacher the first thing I would tell my students is "there is no such thing as a stupid question."

    Good luck.
