Yes and I won the case even though there was nothing in writing.It was classed as a 'gentleman's agreement'

yes i took an x boyfriend to get the money i had let him borrow back, i had a letter he signed in which he promised to repay me once he was back on his feet.

he didnt and laughed at me when i a=said you have 1 month or i will take you to court.

so i took him to court he had signed a letter which was witnessed by an independant witness so it was legal.

i won he had to pay me back.

Yes and I won plus costs and out of pocket expenses. He who lost then decided he wasn't going to pay. I went back to the court who sent in bailiffs every 3 months of none payment. I had to pay for this service but all was recovered including the bailiffs costs! The £50 that was claimed finished up at over £500. To the case being finalised took a little over 2Years
