Have you ever taken a cruise and ran into a celebrity? What was your experience (good/bad)?

I was on a cruise and spotted John Schneider (Bo Duke) with his wife.  Later on the cruise, I was in a blackjack tourney and John was seated right next to me.  Real down to earth guy.  I did better than him in the blackjack tournament, too.

A lot of cruises are celebrity oriented.  You can take a cruise with your favorite football team.  A lot of bands/singers do cruises.

With an entire football team you are almost guaranteed to run into one of them.  With a band, not so much.

One of my good friends was so excited--she took the Nascar cruise and laid out right next to Jimmie Johnson.  The first day everyone is like "Can I get your autograph?" and swarming them but by day 2 you want to be the cool person that's just like drinking a beer, catching some sun.  You say hi, he says hi.  You ask if he enjoyed his shore excursion. She said it was amazing.  She laid out next to him for about 2 hours and asked him to buy her a drink.  He said his wife wouldn't like that and smiled.  Very casual.

You know, celebs are just regular people.  On vacation, they usually are happy and sign autographs, say hi.  And call security on the person who keeps saying I want to marry you.  We are meant to be together!

hulk hogan was on the carnival imagination with his family a few years ago and whoppi goldberg is actually a godmother of a ship on rc so she goes on that ship once in a while. to me celebritites are like other people who cares
