  1. Disney Cruises are wonderful - I would definitely go, with or without kids.  The suites are going to be more expensive, but if you need the room and have the cash, may as well go for it.  If you decide to go with a stateroom, I highly recommend one with a veranda.  It is so nice to be able to go out on your own private deck.  The food is fabulous, and they have many places that are adults only.  There is a website for the cruise line:  http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/dcl/en...

Lots of opportunities for carefree and romance... have a great trip!

  2. I suggest that you stay away from Disney if you want a romantic cruise.   Disney has good ships but is primarily  for kids, and families with kids.  It does have adults only areas on ship, but the kids are still there on ship.  They will have lots of kids’ activities on the ships, but they will still be all over the hallways, elevators and dining facilities.  There will be  lots of kids running around and looking for Micky, Donald, Minnie, Goofie, etc all over the ship.

I recommend Princess, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian or Celebrity cruises for a more relaxed and romantic cruise.  These cruise lines will have some kids, but in in the abundance that Disney will have, and they will all have programs specifically for the kids to keep them occupied and supervised.

If/when you go to a cruise line web site you will see the various cabins listed by type, i.e., SUITE, VERANDA/BALCONY, OUTSIDE, and INSIDE. the category, and generally the square footage of each cabin type. The category will generally be listed next to the cabin type.  The most expensive cabins are the  penthouses and owners' suites, which are like apartments and what you saw on the old TV program "The Love Boat".  Next are the jr and full suites . The next are the VERANDA or BALCONY cabins (you have your own private patio). The next lowest priced  are OUTSIDE cabins (they have either a window or porthole). The cheapest cabins offered are always the inside cabins; those without a window or porthole. The inside, outside and balcony cabins are generally about the same size on each ship, but may vary by ship and cruise line.

I always recommend the balcony or Veranda cabins because  most ships these days tend to have many of them at a reasonable price (i.e., $1200 to $1500 for a 7-day.) and, frankly, you will enjoy your cruise more with a veranda/balcony cabin.

First of all the terms "cabin" and "stateroom" mean the same thing; the cruise industry prefers stateroom.  The standard cabin that most people get (inside/outside/balcony) are generally between 175 and 200 square feet, about the size of a 9 by 12 ft home bedroom (balconies are about 45 to 55 sq ft). Suites and penthouses can be between 350 and 1300 square feet. Each cabin has a two beds which can be made into a queen, a bathroom with a shower stall, a closet and some drawer space, a TV and telephone, a safe for valuables, and a life jacket for each passenger.  Some cabins that are built to accommodate 3 or 4 people will have a pull down bed and/or a sofa bed.   Its been my experience that Princess and Royal Caribbean have the best ship and cabin decor (also some of the best food.)

I do recommend getting a balcony stateroom.  You will enjoy your cruise more with that type cabin and it will not seem as small as an inside cabin.  A suite is even better if you have the money for that; you get more space.  Generally suites come with other amenities such as butler service, bathrobes in the cabin, and maybe fresh fruit delivered each morning.

If you are celebrating and anniversary you can order decorations for your cabin or door; just let the cruise line know and/or go to the web site and look at the options available.

  3. The Disney cruise is not an adult cruise that accomodates children, it is a children's cruise that accomodates adults.

If your looking for romantic, stay away from Disney, Carnival and Royal Caribbean.  Go for something more upscale or you will be disappointed.

  4. I would say no to a romantic, no-worries cruise. I  mean, most of the actviities, and facilities are geared toward families. I have 3 different reccomendations based on Romanticivty, and Price.

    1. Most Expensive: Yachts of Seabourn

    Maxiumum amount of passengers. 200.

    Passengger to Crew Ration 1:1.

this means attentive service all the time. Only suite style rooms. Nice facilities, and Amazing Dining.

They ship has a way of opening up and turning into a retractable water sports arena. Awesome or what.

    2. Relatively Expensive.

Cunard, owner of the Queen Mary 2. Features onboard planitarium. British style service. And Fantastic dining. The ships are quite large, and ove Facilities unimaginable on cruise ship.

Lastly, I sya Carnival,Princess, or royal Caribbean.

Those these cruises may not have a romantice reputation, they surely can be. Onboard, your cruise is what you make it. You can relax at the pool all day, Enjoy elegant Captain's Receptions, and enjoy good dinners. Prices are reasonable based on length and ship type. They can be, fun, romantic, uique, adventourus or anything else. With the variety of activities you can do what yyou want, when you want. Enjoy room service meals on your balconies, Especially on princess. On all three cruise ines, For the charge of about 20 or 30 dollars, you can get a romantic dinner, that would cost 400 dollars on land. This ismy #1 reccomendation. Based on Price and Activities.

    Good Luck, and Have Fun
