Have you ever tasted purple?

one time i ate some thing and the only thing i could think that i tasted like was purple

Purplish colored yams that's then made into Filipino pastries come out super purple, it's good though (one of my fave desserts); they've add any or most of the following to make it taste better and sellable:  Milk (condensed-evaporated-dry) and lots of sugar maybe even some butter or margarine

I've eaten a blue crayon before, and when I eat anything waxy now, I associate it with blue.  So maybe you've eaten a purple... crayon? :P
