Question:

Have you ever thought about the gas prices going sky high as God's way of lessening Global Warming?

If the gas prices get even more expensive, less and less people won't have to drive therefore, lessening gas emissions and not contributing to Global Warming. Have you ever thought of that?

  1. No.

    Yes.

'No' as I don't see the need to bring invisible sky-beings into an already complex issue and

'Yes' I have thought about one of the most blindingly obvious circular effects of high oil prices - hasn't everyone? Sort of like saying 'if it's raining, people will get wet if they step outside. Have you thought about that?'

  2. I think "God" owns shares on Oil companies.

So yes, "God" is putting up prices....

  3. God is a commodities trader and he is jacking up the cost of gas. We must vote for the new Messiah, Obama, to make the world better.

  4. God is not punishing us because the Earth is doing whatever-it's-doing-warming / cooling--wait, it's climate change now!  Whatever, it's not happening.  Man-made global warming is completely false!

High gas prices are caused by a number of things, demand is outrunning supply (or so we're told.)  Tensions in that fever swamp known as the Middle East, can raise the price of oil, and of course, oil speculators are doing a great job of running up the cost of oil.

Ain't it interesting that as soon as Bush "gave permission" to drill for oil off our own shores, the price of a gallon of gas went down almost 50 cents within a week.  The oil hasn't even started flowing yet, so something tells me, as always, it's always been artificially high, just like Uncle Al wanted.

  5. It's possible, but I believe that it's going higher because we are running out of gas

  6. Your 'God' has nothing to do with the myth of 'Global Warming'!

This is all a  money making scam, which will do nothing to alter anything other than our ability to survive!

Learn a little basic science, and not follow the lunatics who seem to currently be in 'control of the asylum'!

CO2 is NOT, nor ever could be, a cause of climate change!

If you leave your 'God' out of the equation, you may actually be able to start to understand.

  7. so you think a fictional being called GOD controls the price of oil?

  8. God has nothing to do with high gas prices. High gas prices are a scam to try and stop people from driving, and a cheap way for the gas companies to get rich. I personally think that this so called "global warming" thing is Gia (Mother Nature's) way of offsetting increasing CO2 levels. By raising the temperature plants can photosynthesize longer therefore removing more CO2 from the air. It's that if anything, if not that, it's just a CYCLICAL climate that the Earth has any no one wants to admit. People are too concentrated on "saving" the Earth. The earth doesn't need saving, it has shown us time and time again that it is capable of adapting and changing. If we were really "destroying the earth" the earth would take steps to destroy us.

  9. Bringing in your faith in this forum will only cause ridicule and really doesn't help anything. That being said I will try and answer your question about God being in the equation,  first the gas prices are higher because of market demand and greed of certain people lets not blame God for humanities short fallings.  Two, taking care of the earth is not a bad thing, however we need to take care of the people first and the rest will fall in place, that again is a humananities struggle and some have strived to sacrifice and do what is right and some do not.   God is a spiritual being and we are suppose to be spiritual people first, that is not always the case, and since this is a forum that deals more with the science of our earth  God will be rejected.  I would suggest that you  live your faith and treat others with respect and dignity,  help the poor, visit the sick, be kind and do not judge.

    Peace

  10. God - doesn't control gas prices.

  11. Why didn't god make us able to produce our own energy like plants, instead of having to grab other living things and shove them into our mouths and consume them?

Is god on earth, or outer space?

and can he a planet so big, that even he couldnt lift it?

and the Sun's corona fluxuates between 1 million and 3 million degrees C.  Couldnt that have more to do with global warming.

Does it mention oil prices or global warming (or electricity for that matter) in the bible?

How does a non-changing god exist in an ever changing universe?

  12. i dont think god want's us to starve to death. we need to work! maybe god is heating up the earth,he made it, he own's it. have you ever thought of that?

  13. Nope. I think of lib greenies throwing a wrench into the works(economy).

  14. Your god has nothing to do with it.

God wouldn't let us starve??  Are you freaking serious?? Tell that to the starving people in India, or Ethiopia lady... please... get your "god" facts straight.  He's not saving anybody from anything..........look around your world.

  15. I've always thought of them as the result of the weakening dollar, which has resulted from too accomodative Fed policy under Bernanke and his predecessor.

No, God doesn't control the supply or price of gasoline, or the supply of money and credit - although Greenspan probably thought of himself as a God.

  16. God has decided to raise prices to help pay for a new planet!

  17. No, because god doesn't exist.

  18. Higher gas prices make oil companies richer and have nothing to do with god in any way. Now generally warmer temperatures and a milder overall climate could be gods way of providing more acreage to grow food crops on and let the worlds growing population eat better. But the hard core AGW promoters that are working for the oil companies to drive up energy prices to get more money for the same production costs want to lower populations especially in the third world where they get very little profit from government owned oil and coal.

The only way to keep the oil companies from killing with this scam is to use less in every way you can and where you are able make some or all of your own. The expressed desire of the oil companies from the very words of their spokesman Al Gore is that gasoline should cost the consumer at least $12 a gallon. Now he does not care if that comes through increased oil company profits, as is currently the case in the USA or higher energy taxes as in Europe. Either way the consumer is crippled by harmful inflation across the board of the things they consume to live.

  19. Why does people criticized god for human suffering. Have they thought since we are only mortal and our limit and understanding is also limited, we dont know what's god doing and for what purposes. Global warming is happening right now and the challenge is that we need to use renewable energy to sustain our self. Stop blaming god for the human suffering and global warming.

  20. No, because there is no god to fix prices (or create the world, or answer your prayers, or offer you an afterlife).

Besides, higher prices only really affect the poor, the rich can still afford fuel for their big SUVs or their 747-8VIPs.

  21. I think you are living a bubble.  There are countries in this world where gas prices have been sky high (we're talking the equivalent of $12/gallon or more).  These are countries where the industry is not as developed as here in the US, therefore following your logic, there is less "global warming" contribution.  While the earth is going through natural warming and cooling cycles, stop blaming people or God for having much influence over that.
