He would know everything about us, and could change anything at will, and would know every possible outcome of anything that could ever happen?

  1. When it was discovered that priests had been molesting children for decades, and God never intervened, I realized that religion is a hoax and if there is a God, he certainly is not worthy of worship.

  2. Yeah but then again that's a little dramatic for something that God should probably be able to do with just a snap of his fingers

  3. No.

And even so, why wouldn't that be in the bible?

  4. No.

  5. It is quite a roundabout way of creating the universe, dont you think? I wouldnt discount it though, but i dont think that evolution following the big bang is possible

  6. Nothing exist outside of the "eternal now' which means that all things have a beginning and an end by virtue of being a part of the cycle of time.

Therefore, any god or the gods must have a beginning and by having such, they do not fit the definition of god,

All that is simply is, nothing more or less.

Be well and please, be wise.

  7. what scientists call the big bang is merely the residual echo of the word of God, by which all things are created and all things exist.

  8. Totally.  Since time couldn't exist without space, any entity that was "beyond" the big bang would transcend both.  Such a being, if it was aware of events that were happening within the universe, would be capable of knowing everything..By transcending time, God could be aware of what you're going to do, but you could still have free will.

Personally, I'm not so sure about "change anything at will," because I don't believe such an entity would ahve any reason to need to change anything.

It's actually not a new idea (although maybe the big bang part is.  The 6th Century Roman philosopher, Boethius, wrote a book called Consolation of Philosophy (called one of the most influential works on medieval christianity), in which he comes up with the same basic idea.

Some fundamentalist types want to believe the universe was literally created in 7days, but personally, I think people have known that the story was metaphorical (at best) for the last few thousand years.

  9. If God is who He says He is,(and I believe that He is) than ,if any "big bang" happened I know He was aware of its happening and its consequence.

  10. well dats just another way of saying dat god created the world

  11. ...can't be ...GOD is man made so, it is mankinds developement that created the big bang...
