How do you know what you are seeing and hearing is real?

Even touching, how do you know what you are touching is real?

When I reach out and slap your face, thats when I know its real.

Most likely because of the reaction I would get.  hehe :)

Nope I never thought this life wasn't real.................MAN now you got me thinkin.

Nothing is real I think nothing is real until your dead. Then that's the beginning of the end. My theory.  =)

It is simple really! If i put my hand in the fire my hand will burn, with me ending up screaming. If I ask someone and I get a reply, it's a confirmation that it indeed had an impact.

Now when we're dreaming we usually go through the same scenarios, but we do many crazy things. We fly, fire doesn't burn, I can be 60 feet tall etc.

So when we calibrate and analyze certain patterns emerge, that help us distinguish reality for dream. So the patterns or sense that help us connect with reality in turn also confirm for us that it is indeed a reality.

What if you're in Antarctica without any protection, you will freeze to death. If I punch you, you will bleed. This experience and connecting to our environment through our senses gives us the proof, and makes this world reality for us. Outcome confirms and proves for us that yes it is real, if it wasn't then imagination has no bounds, yet we are bound at every step.

Imagination has no boundaries, reality does!

The things we perceive are not real as they are temporal.  They are only mental interpretations of the data our senses collect.  Real things are not seen and are eternal.
