  1. I don't have a car. Limos are already tinted.

  2. I installed mirror tint film in an Escort GL I owned several years ago. It was very much like hanging  wall paper in a house. I followed the directioons that came with the film and the fact that most of the windows in the older Escorts were flat helped alot.

The only real catch is that you can only use the tinting film on windows that don't roll down.

The result looked really cool and helped keep the interior of the car cooler in the summer There was one odd side effect. I was always finding three or four people around the car combing their hair.

  3. My husband took his time to make sure the windows were clean, the tint was the right size and there were no air bubbles. It was nice and did save money..tiniting is pretty expensive here. It can be done. :)

  4. If you want it to look like you did it, then do it yourself. Otherwise , if you want it to look professional, have a professional do it. It comes with a guaranty too.

  5. It was awfully hard to do large windows such as front door window on two door car.  I ended up doing it in two pieces with seam in the middle.  The rear view window was impossible.

For 25 dollars or so, I was able to do all 4 windows (no rear view window).  I was some what satisified with the end result.

  6. if you take your time and fit the tint on outside of window first take your time take you time , you should be able to do it , this is a craft that is learned over time , i have done and had them done , try it you may find out you have a nack for it , make sure you clean very well and no wind closed garage

  7. Yes and yes it was worth it.  The kits are really really cheap in comparison to what they want at a shop to do the work.

The big problem is getting the protective cover off the tint material and then keeping it from getting wrinkled as you get ready to place it on the wet window.  I got all the bubbles out OK, but I've seen jobs where all the bubbles didn't get out and then they break and it looks bad.

    Good luck

  8. my friend did it and it turned out kind of bad because there were a tone of air bubbles in it, but she liked it so i guess it was worth it for her.
