Have you ever tried any of the new drugs being marketed on TV?

Symbicort, Spiriva, Yaz, Lunesta, Ambien, Viagra, Enzyte, Advair, Avodart, Cialis, Lyrica, Evista, Boniva, Flomax, etc.

If you've taken them, do they/did they work for you? Side effects? Please explain.

No, why would I take a med just because it was on tv?  I don't have any ailments that can't be remedied by diet and exercise.

Which is why ALL these drugs require a doctor's prescription.  (Well, except for Enzyte, which is a scam anyway.)  You cannot just decide (on your own) to take one.  The point of this advertising is to get people (who have not bothered to mention such problems to their doctor) to start the conversation.  THEN and ONLY then can a decision be made whether the drug is right for the patient.

It's really funny to hear all the complaints on this board about "pill-pushing doctors", when the physicians' major complaint about their patients is that they demand a pill even when they're told it's not appropriate.

I think it is awful that drugs are advertised, like they are some kind of happiness pill and instant fix.

Tired? Depressed? Feeling blue? Heck yes! because I am alive!! Anyone who is breathing feels like that sometimes.

I am not saying some of those drugs are not helpful for real problems, just that it needs to be left to Dr.'s and patients to decide.

So, no, I wouldn't take or try drugs because I saw them on TV.

Do you feel lonely, depressed, are you sometimes tired.  Do you wish you could do more with your life.  Do you goto sleep at night and wake up in the morning?  Do you sneeze or cough, do you wish you could live a better life?  Wanna lose wght?

Then take our pills!!

I love TV drug marketing in America, it's crazy - but they are all money making fads.
