This means that most of your foods are in natural form and not excessively cooked or not cooked at all. Does it work? I feel really groggy. I just want to know what methods are out there to detox naturally and if it works.

  1. If you are in Singapore, go for some classes at

  2. Raw foodism actually means eating only VEGAN foods in their natural RAW state:

    Raw fresh fruit

    Raw fresh vegetables

Raw nuts (can be soaked to help digestion)

    Raw sprouted seeds

Sun dried fruit (can be soaked to help digestion)

There is NO cooking involved at all, although you can dehydrate raw produce in a dehydrator at very low temperatures.

Raw foodism has NOTHING to do with consuming raw meat or raw eggs - yuck.

Yes, raw vegan works. I am doing it now and have been for the past year.

It is the very BEST thing I have ever done for my health and energy levels.

If you feel groggy / sick / off / tired etc… you may be in a rapid detox mode. This is quite normal for the first few weeks or months.

Think of it this way, it has taken years to get your body in a toxic state, so it will take a quite a while to reverse that damage.

So don’t expect miracles overnight BUT.......do expect miracles in the long-term.

    To detox naturally you should:

Consume certified organic produce wherever possible.

Daily eat a very high percentage of raw.

    Daily drink home-made vegetable juices.

    Daily drink home-made green smoothies.

    Daily drink pure filtered water.

You should totally give up (or greatly reduce) processed flour, refined sugars, processed foods, animal flesh, eggs, dairy, caffeine, cigarettes, medicated drugs, recreational drugs, alcohol, etc…

You should also detox your environment (i.e.) use natural make-up, cosmetics, deodorants, use “green” natural cleaning products etc…

If all this seems too hard, then juice fasting for a few days or weeks, will also help enormously with detoxing naturally.

I suggest you read the following book, for more information on detoxing with juices:

“The Juice Fasting Bible: Discover the Power of an All-Juice Diet to Restore Good Health, Lose Weight and Increase Vitality” by Sandra Cabot.

  3. No, but I did see that "wife Swap" show where that's what they did. It was REALLY gross. They had to eat every 3 hours around the clock too. Raw eggs, Raw chicken even... uugghh

You really want to do this? Why?

  4. I have not nor will I ever.

Why not simply strive to cut out processed foods and eat healthy veggies and fruit, lean proteins, no soda, fiber rich foods like whole grain cereals and oatmeal, whole grain breads,  lots of water and I think you'll be surprised at how healthy you'll feel

  5. I saw the wifeswap thing too. I would never attempt with chicken, but I have to say I cannot resist raw steak. I just love it.

  6. you need to eat raw garlic if you want it to work. cooking will destroy all those things in it that make your blood vessels better. even putting a lemon in hot tea will make vitamin C ineffective.

  7. I haven't tried Raw Foodism - isnt that where if you eat meat of any kind it has to be raw? I know fruiits and veggies too.

I eat cooked meat, some raw veggies, some cooked veggies, fruit, nuts, etc.

I restrict myself from eating alot of carbs and eat high in fiber foods.

I love it. Some people do get groggy though. Some reason I don't!

  8. There is a bit of misunderstanding here. Raw Foodism that I know is about eating "vegan" food that are raw. Not eating those gross uncooked meat. Raw foodism can be healthy in a short time only. You can go raw for 3 days or 5 days and resume to eating what you usually eat. Raw foods in its form are alot healthier than cooked, although tomatoes are better when cooked but alot of fruits and vegetables are better when left uncooked. This said, going into this raw food diet, you will acquire the needed nutrients that you need and you are assured that your body is cleaned. Also, going into raw food diet, it is "very" advisable that you choose fruits and vegetables that are fresh and organic.
