Have you ever tried strawberry beer?

Question

I love it! It tastes a bit like strawberry jam with beer and looks bright red. Pure beer is quite bitter, so it's a good alternative. What do you think?

i dont like it ive had it before and it just wasn't my thing but i'm glad you like it cause it sounded really good but i just didn't like it

Tried it and wasn't very impressed. Certainly didn't taste like jam. Maybe your brand (or home brewer) was better.

I've tried it. It's really nice but it can get sickly. You can get loads of different fruit flavoured beers - cherry is my favourite

I don't know. I'm something of a traditionalist when it comes to beer.

I liked Eku 28 from Germany. It's 11%+, so the bottle says, and is so rich and malty, with a vague sweetness to it.

*snaps out of reminiscence* Um...where was I? Oh yes.

Traditionalist. So no.  But I might do in the future, if I see it. Thanks for the recommendation!

There are a couple good brands you can try.   two different styles I can think of off hand are Fruli (which is a sweeter beer) and Mort Subite Framboise which is less sweet, and more tart.  

I prefer Mort Subite which is a lambic style of beer.

I also made a batch of strawberry Wheat beer at home.

Yes, I've made Strawberry Wheat, and came out pretty good. About one and half pounds per gallon. Best in the Fermenter, and not the boil. Now try the Pomme (apple Lambic).

Yes, its beer with stawberry favour in it.Its quite refreshing
