Turli tava, shirden, rasolche, sarma, spinach with rice and egs,jania,gravche tavche, cketo, dolma, musaka with tikve or crn domat., chovte with tomato kasha, chiken with rise.

Salats: shopska, malidzano, lutica, urnebes salat.

I was invited to have share a Orthodox Easter with a Macedonian family. I'm sorry, I don't remember the exact names of the foods I was served.... we started out with a tsaziki topped with fresh mint, we had a sort of Moussaka that didn't resemble the Greek version I am familiar with and then we had a baked rice and mutton dish. This last dish was topped with a yogurt and something else that when baked formed a sort of yellow crust over the top.

Over all the food was good. I should have to go to Macedonia to check the whole thing out.

Yup, it's an everyday custom. Shopska salata, polneti piperki, ajvar, zelnik.. yummy!!

p.s and to the answerer above, "Shopska salata" is not only a bulgarian dish, it's a regional plus there are some differences in the combination of vegetables..

btw Ethnic group "Shopi" covered the area of eastern Macedonia,  western Bulgaria and south-east Serbia... so you can't say that they were Bulgarians, as well and the salad... you know, we all have them in our ethnogenesis..
