  7. belly dancing is a great exercise...i took belly dancing so i can learn new moves to added up with my hip hop....n is great!

    i loved it...i had tons of fun...toned my abs and now i got new moves...you should try it and c for ur self....

I've been a bellydancer for over a decade.  It's great exercise.  It's a great cardio workout and if you take classes you often get a great fusion of yoga and pilates stretches and warm ups to go along with the cardio workout.  You will feel muscles worked that you didn't even know you had.  It's kind of a misnomber about it being great for the abdominals though.  Bellydancers do not generally get flat abs from bellydancing unless they do other abdominal exercises, dance vigorously for at least 4 days a week and/or do a lot of stomach work such as rolls or flutters (beyond what you would normally practice even as a professional).  It will help to give nice soft tone to your muscles and it can help you lose weight if you do it enough (once a week doesn't usually cut it you gotta practice at home several times a week too).
