  1. All horses have their beauty and a good picture is worth a 1,000 words.

As for the trolls is there anyway to find out WHO they are and recriprocate the favor?

  2. I have tried.....uhhgggg it gives you a headache. I would love to reach thru this computer and strangle some people: 0

I love to watch Gypsy Vanners :)

  3. I always give thumbs up to the good answers, and only thumbs down the dumb or dangerous or completely off base ones.  Probably 10 thumbs up for every thumbs down.  Makes people feel better if they see a few thumbs up on their answers even if they don't get best answer.

Favorite breed to look at?  Well, I like to look at a healthy happy horse who is enjoying what they are doing, whether they are under saddle or out in a pasture.  That could be any breed.

  4. i love all the horse breeds, the breed doesn't matter to me it's more of the thought that they are safe and love you no matter what. if i had to chose, it's a tuffy, I'd have to say........ a draft/paint cross. regarding your other question, i usually flag inappropriate posts, although I'm fairly new so i don't know if your allowed to do that. i would thumbs up people but you have to be a level 2 to do that and i still need like 15 points, so I'm working to get that LOL

Edit: i finally reached level 2! now i can give thumb ups!!!

  5. I'm relatively new to YA, and I spent most of my time, so far, in the 'Dogs' section.  It is infinitely busier over there, with new questions every minute, it seems.  Lots of silly/scary questions, and even more silly/scary "answers" (I call most of them "guesses").

To answer your horsey question, my favorite breed, hands down, no contest, is Holsteiner.  I used to have an 18.2hh Holsteiner, and it's hard to even consider owning anything else.

I've trained/shown lots of differnt breeds, including mixes, TB's, QH's, Arabs, and most of the warmbloods.  I used to show a 17.2hh Hanoverian stallion, and an 18hh Trakehner stallion.  If I really couldn't get a good Holsteiner, I might consider a Westphalian, Dutch Warmblood, or any solid, leggy, grade horse with talent.

(I'm not really so "into" horse breeds, per se.  I'm really most interested in size/conformation, and talent.  Holsteiners, as a rule, have everything I'm looking for.  So it's kind of like a shortcut to the horse I'd want.  But I wouldn't care if a horse was 10 different breeds mixed together, if it had the qualities I was looking for.)  :-)

  6. The trolls will still try and rain the parade, thumbs up's would be great. I got a laugh the other day because I did block a certain person from answering my questions- so she turns around and sends me an angry email about how she's so mad at me, and how she never wanted to answer my question in the first place. and then asked me why I had to be so childish to block her. It couldn't help but make me smile. If she didn't care to answer my question then why try to view it and then email me?

as for your question- I love watching all horses. Nothing makes me feel more at peace than seeing one of my herds running at dusk. Nothing is more beautiful than a horse running at liberty.

EDIT: Rosi. It's hard to figure out who they are unless they come straight out or send you hate mail( I've gotten so many "I'm going to come and bomb your ranch" or "I hope your horses buck you off and kill you" emails it's not even funny). I just send polite replies like "I'm sorry that you bred your HYPP positive mare and ended up with a ewe necked roman nosed foal that has seizures. I've enclosed a few links to a horse rescue so you know where to send your unwanted horses too." Nothing ticks the trolls off more than being unresponsive.

  7. The thumbs up/down have no real value.  Just other readers agreeing or disagreeing with answers.  Doesn't bother me to be thumbed, I just laugh.

I'm an arabian girl.  Had the pleasure of working with 65 head of  Tripple National, Double National, National (US and Canadian) Aye-rabs.  Living art.

  8. DDDDDDDDUUUUUUUHHHHHJHHUUUUU

  9. I don't really have a favourite breed to look at - I just love to watch when they trot free with their tails up and the sun is shining on them - just about anything looks great when they do that !

As for your idea and the add - don't fall for that - they are cleverer than you think and will thumb people down and not even answer the question themselves. If all they are doing is thumbing then let them get on with it - simple things please simple minds. If, however they are messing with you - reporting your answers etc then you want to make your Q&A private so only your contacts can see it.

If you know who they are you can always treat them to a red dot.
