I wanted to just run away from my life for a second, get some fresh air and clear my head. I took one step towards the door, car keys in hand with mind buzzing. Then it hit me, It was pointless to try to go anywhere. Has that ever happened to you? Where you just wanted to be anywhere but here and it hits you it doesnt matter where you are, your never going to get away from "it"?

  1. VERY well said Debi & you are 110% correct.  My husband & I ran 3000 miles away & when we stopped, it caught up.

My father-in-law still lost his battle with Alzheimer's (2004) & my brother-in-law still lost his battle with brain cancer (2005).

Like Debi said, turn & face it!

  2. life is alwayso so strange

  3. There are no "geographical cures" to cure "it".....

"It" has to be dealt with eventually..

Although getting away to ponder a bit can help see things in their proper perspective...you can run, but you can't hide from "it". :-)

But, to answer your question..yes, I've felt like that many a time!!

  4. I have. I tried running from 'it'. House to house. Relationship to relationship. Friend to friend. But the same things continued to happen. I then asked myself, 'How in the world am I still dealing with the same things that I am dealing with' until I realized the common denominator was me. I was the 'it' that I was running from. But no matter how far, how long, or where I went, 'I' was still there...

    Thanks for listening

  5. I think at some point we all feel like that - but if you run you have to stop sometime and there it is waiting for you when you do.

Stand your ground, turn around and smack it in the eye !
