No - but, I cook Russian food sometimes and when I went to Bulgaria and Chech! the food was very similar. Dumplings were good, stewsand casseroles, shashlik kebabs, fatty duck and boiled potatoes. I found it similar to old fashioned English food. Gob ? something is stuffed cabbage leaves in Russian got the recipe from cookeryclub.

I havent had an opportunity to try the dishes you have recommended but I have eaten Banitsa before and loved it.   I also had an eggplant and tomato dish which was also delicious.
