Question:

Have you ever used Milorgnite fertilizer?

Some of my shrubs are not doing very well. I believe it may be the result of poor soil. I live in the lower Mid-west. Would it help to use Milorgnite and is it too late in the season to apply it now? Should I wait until the Fall? What has been your experience with this product?

  1. I live in Florida and use milorganite on my lawn x2 in the spring 6 weeks between applications.  It provides iron, which helps green my lawn without making it grow too fast.

Fertilizers make the lawn grow tall where milorganite makes it gren and it spreads to fill in the bare spots.

Sorry, never tried it on shrubs, but it can't hurt.  It's all natural.

  2. My expereince is that it is about the most organic (smelling) fertilizer you can get!  The idea behind using an organic like Milorganite is to enhance and build the soil's microbes and mycorrizae.   Anyway, It's a great product, only somewhat persistent.

I would wait until Fall when you know you're going to have rain (and you know you will be INDOORS with your windows closed)

    :)
