Have you ever used Time Warner Cable's digital HDTV Cable box?

Did anybody else find it to be nothing but junk? We just tried it out today and had to call customer service 4 times because the stupid thing wouldn't connect, and when it finally did connect it kept saying "This box does not have service" on the screen. When the picture would come through it had that on it, plus it kept freezing up. We'll be returning the HDTV cable box tomorrow.

  1. Time Warner cable is a lost cause they take 2-3 days to fix a problem that should not happen if they would trouble shoot there system instead of always giving you a new box and saying (this will fix the problem) I know every month I have problems and they don't care.

  2. I get a weird feeling you got the box BEFORE you even got Cable from them....

This box does not have service MEANS it is NOT recieving the cable signal to it yet....

Did you wait for the guy to come out and shimmy up the pole and CONNECT YOU? Or go out to the green box located in the neighborhood's "right of way" area, open it, and make your connection?

Because I can tell you this...their boxes do not operate with an antenna....tabletop or outdoor aerial...it does not work with those.....

Now....one more thing....IF you are attempting to use the box on OLD RF CABLE, you will get a BAD PICTURE....

    And I mean BAD !! Real BAD!  Baddity-BAD !

None of that OLD RG 59 c**p !  YOU WANT all new RG-6 cable on your home !

Otherwise you will get crappy HD....it's not designed to carry that signal.....

OK NOW......before you dump cable, talk to TW and see if they can set you up with an installer and get that wiring corrected....

And don't jump the gun...Let them get you set up correctly ok?

I'll tell you another thing....they will be complete DAYS BEFORE you ever get a Dish or Direct TV guy out to your house.....
