  1. Not for a while, but it sounds like a great idea.

  2. Yes I have a few times, the most recent being a month ago. And I love it!

Just gotta be mindful of where you put your bare tootsies

  3. Yes very often. Last time was two days ago. I love it.

  4. yes as a child

  5. Absolutely! When I was a teen every time I went camping I always made it a point to go barefoot around the camp for at least a little each day. Eventually, I made it a practice to take off my shoes n socks as soon as I got to my campsite and never put them back on until it was time to leave - days later.

I have had the pleasure of walking barefoot in icy cold streams, cool mud, soft mossy terrain, fallen leaves, the rough bark of fallen trees, warm (sometimes hot) rocks and dirt. No negatives at all, except I think I got an ant bite once when I was 12, and maybe a sticker or two over the years. I've even walked barefoot in snow briedly -- something I liked and want to try for longer periods.

Walking barefoot in the woods is a magical experience, especially at night. I think we were meant to live barefoot.

  6. All the time .

i walk barefoot in most places

    also in my tropical garden

hopefully the snakes hear me coming

but i have been zapped by a few scorpions by now.

  7. Many times! I'm always barefoot and while I'm not a real frequent hiker I have gone on quite a few trips over the eleven years I've been barefoot. When you're habitually barefoot, feet are tough enough to deal with sticks etc, and I've even walked in places with lots of brambles and other thorns (picked brambles barefoot too, and cleared a big bush from the garden once), without any trouble. It's wonderful to feel all the different surfaces under foot!

The thing I've found most to watch for is tree stumps hidden in deep leaves; the soles get very tough when you go barefoot often and the feet do get somewhat stronger overall, but when I stub a toe hard enough it still hurts about as much when it happens now as it did eleven years ago when I started out going barefoot!
