  1. almost

  2. bob dylan, because the sound system was trash, it was a worthless show as much as i love bob dylan, absolute sh*t.

the other was animal collective, once again the sound system was trash, the place was packed, it must have been 110 degrees in there, and it was winter, so everyone was clinging to coats and sweaters and things, and quite frankly, despite that i like some of their studio stuff i think they would have sucked live regardless based on what i saw.

  3. No, I have been to some shows that were lousy, but usually when that is the case I was on a date and I was trying to make someone else happy.

  4. yes i was at a machine head concert about 4 years ago and it kinda suck'ed when this american bloke came on

  5. nope.

but i hated seeing green day

it was my first concert.... what do you expect....

  6. yes. Well, let's see ... there was B Dylan this past winter. I've seen him probably15 times and not only did he suck vocally, but it was way slow, and the security sucked. You were not allowed to stand up if you had floor seats! I just about pitched a fit...good thing I left.

Then there was Zack Wilde and Black Label Society who was so drunk he practically fell off the stage and played like S**t.

Ben Harper. The venue was horrible and all I could hear was the echo off the back wall of the field house. To top that one off... it was my birthday, and I dumped my BF at the show. After that the night really took of and I ended up having a decent Bday.

There are more but I can't think of them right now.

<----20 years of nearly constant concert going

Shades- That Sucks! Weren't those tickets pretty pricy too? Man, what a bummer!

  7. Yes, LOL. It was a Sammy Hagar concert.

He was terrible in my opinion.

Also walked out on a Spindoctors concert,

I just didn't care for the sound system, and it made it unenjoyable, so we left.

  8. I haven't, because I've never been to a concert before, but my parents have.

In the late 70's they went to a Frank Zappa concert, and they left halfway through it because it was "stupid" Apparantly Frank started beating up a doll on the stage... (?!)

  9. Sort of....

After working all day at work, then driving an hour plus down to Shoreline Ampitheatre and working (volunteer usher) the Bridge School Benefit ~ an acoustic benefit show with big names that Neil Young organizes every year here in the Bay Area... I finally got 'cut' (off duty for the night). I got something to eat & found a seat on the lawn (a mile from the stage...), was freezing and tired (it's always the last show of the season, usually late October/early November) and was waiting for my main man, Neil, to take the stage. Well, he comes on and was SO low-key, SO laid-back, SO low-energy, that after about 3 songs I just left. I couldn't face a traffic jam getting out of the place & was just pooped. Plus I'd seen an *electric* couple of songs by Elvis Costello, so I was happy with that.

    **edit**

Nah, Pirate Girl, I was in for free. Sounds like you've seen some bummers, tho!

  10. Yes back in the early 70'S a Guess Who concert they came out and played half-assed. And we cheered for the warm up band to come back and threw things on the stage then we left.

  11. nah... i just find something destructive and fun to do :)

  12. nope, every concert I went to has been excellent. Im sure that there will come a time though when i will, but it hasnt happened yet.
