Have you ever wanted to build a "Dooms Day" shelter?

Since I was young I've always wanted to get a place in the hills, stock 20 years worth of food, plenty of firearms, medical supplies, you know everything incase certain global catastrophes, by either mother-nature or man-made.

has anyone else wanted to do this?

I haven't thought about avoiding problems; I've worried about solving them.

I've though about it, but in the end decided I would be better off spending my resources on other things.  If you really enjoy putting it together though, it could be a fun hobby.  Just don't take it too seriously.
