l*****g your lips, saliva already juicing up, pick it, turned it over to admire its luscious beauty and discovered the bottom was already eaten by a tomato worm?

Who's eaten half of something you've been anticipating lately?

  1. I shared my first three tomatoes with pests this year.  The squirrels also decided to try eating my cucumbers.  That's why I always plant a little extra.  Nothing has bothered my garlic yet this year, though.

I'm an organic gardener, so sharing my produce with critters is the price I have to pay for not dumping poisonous chemicals on plants and produce I plan to eat.

  2. Another example is rushing to your bean and tomato garden only to discover that your dog had just peed on your prized vegetables.

  3. My eldest son beat me and those dastardly tomato horns worm to that tomato.  I had just pulled into the garage to find him standing in there with his mouth wide open, having just taken the first bite of THE tomato I'd been salivating over for weeks.  I recognized it immediately.  He felt guilty when I berated him for not sharing that one tomato in a fresh salad.  That was the only tomato we ever got that season.  Ces't la vie!

  4. My puppy tried to eat my favorite pants yesterday. /sadface
