I haven't gone snorkeling with a seal, but I've been scuba diving with sea lions around the Santa Barbara Islands. There's a rookery there where they love playing with people.

I don't have pictures, but I remember they'll play a little chicken with you, blow bubbles at your mask, and swim around for another go. It's very fun!
