i just entered and i wanted to kno what it was like if you win..do they notify you?also if you have won what did you win?

I have not won anything from Seventeen Magazine; however, I have won prizes from other companies.  Sometimes they'll call to let you know you've won, but this is only for a big item (a car, a vacation, etc.).  Even then, sometimes they'll email you instead, or send you a certified letter or a letter sent by UPS or FedEx.  If you win a smaller prize from Seventeen, they would most likely send it to you in the mail with a little note inside the package.  You probably will not know ahead of time that you've won.
