Have you ever wondered that- when somebody has a mole- hair grows on and around it?

I saw this lady with a mole on her face, and these big long hairs were sticking out of it--but not on the rest of her face? what's with this-- what's the SCIENTIFIC reason for hair growing on moles- is the skin diferent under the mole or is what?
