The best way to get a job with a cruise line is of course to know someone in the cruise line - just like any other job.

While I have never worked on a cruise ship I have never heard anything good about them.  They tend to have long days with no breaks, no time for yourself...

If you know what you are doing you can try to negotiate a better contract by telling them about your skills and ask for what you want.
