Yes I have worked there--years ago. I worked at the one in Normal--the first one of the Steak n shakes. I was a waitress while going to high school. It was a good job--and b/c there were older ppl and families--I always got good tips. I think it's a good waitressing job. My neice works at one now too.

Well, I am not an employee or former employee of Steak N Shake.. but I am a good customer and fellow waitress - so in a way sometimes I feel I am still waitressing there cause I see it from a different prespective than non-waitresses.

Every time I have gone in, I have good service. The food is pretty quick and the employees all really do look happy and not miserable to be there, which means they must have good management.  I notice a lot of things that most people wouldn't. They know how to best multi-task, I never see dirty tables, etc.

I have a friend that work's there and he said it was k.only for a part time job.

yeah my husband worked there a few years ago. he didn't really mind the work but he said the only thing he liked from there was the shakes. he said the food sucked. i never ate there because he told me the food wasn't all that good.

he said he made good money there though.
