Have you ever worked with giraffes or gotten to feed any giraffes?

I volunteer at a zoo working with giraffes and wanted to hear what other people thought about working with them (i.e. like it, hate it, or was just ok) I personally love it.

I fed giraffes at the Indianapolis zoo.  It was pretty cool.  Their tongues are looooong!

Honestly, I got a bigger kick out of feeding the penguins (not available to the general public, but a friend of mine used to work at a zoo so I got to do that one day).

Yes! The tongue is longer than my head. X_X

It was so cool though! I bought a ton of the food and kept feeding it, haha, I think it liked me the most since I kept giving it more food...:p

Yes, I used to be a zookeeper and worked with giraffes for a while. It was OK, but personally I'm more of a predator person, so there were other animals, like big cats and snakes, that I preferred working with.
